Administrative HistoryAn ancient parish church, originally serving the townships of Bidston cum Ford, Birkenhead, Moreton, and Saughall Massie, and most of the township of Claughton with Grange. For later records, see also the parishes of Birkenhead, Claughton, Leasowe and Moreton.
St. Bede's opened as a chapel of ease to Bidston in 1888. In 1911 it was transferred to the parish of Birkenhead All Saints, and in 1972 to the parish of Birkenhead St. James.
